No Child Left Behind Act (NCLB) of 2001

No Child Left Behind (NCLB) established qualifications for teachers and paraprofessionals   in all public schools, regardless if schools receive funding.  It also established a mandatory national deadline for all public schools to achieve at state defined proficient levels by      2013-2014.

Coffee County Schools receives federal funding to help improve student learning. All elementary schools and the middle school in the Coffee County School System receive     Title I, Part A funding and are School Wide Schools. Title I helps to fund Reading Recovery, Study Island, instructional coordinators, technology lab facilitators, professional development, and instructional materials.

Tennessee Comprehensive Systemwide Planning Process (TCSPP click here)

The TCSPP is Coffee County Schools’ annual district wide strategic plan.  It meets all federal, state and local education agency (LEA) requirements for budgetary planning and program area compliance. The TCSPP serves as a collaborative piece to ensure that CCS
continues to focus on student achievement and make Adequate Yearly Progress (AYP).

Parent Place- Teacher Center

Located in the Coffee County Board of Education, the Parent Place- Teacher Center is a service provided by Coffee County Schools.  A variety of parenting resources are provided by the U.S. Department of Education and are free; other printed resources are available for check-out. Equipment and services include hot and cold lamination, magnets, poster printing and a large selection of Ellison Die Cuts. Please call Ashley Jones at 723-5150 if you have any questions.  The Parent Place- Teacher Center hours are from 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.  Summer hours are 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday. Costs include the following:  

  • Laminating- .50 per ft.
  • Posters-  $4.00 each
  • Posters with lamination- $4.50 each
  • Die Cutting- free (if providing your own paper)
  • Die Cutting- .10 per sheet  (construction paper provided for you)
